Found a good saw at the thrift store.

I was recently in the thrift store and asked the guy if he had a hack saw. We both saw this saw at the same time and he handed it over to me. Turns out it has two hack blades and a wood blade. I think this is one of those brand name pack saws, but there are no identifying marks. After cleaning up two of the three blades, one of them says Made in Sweden and a brand name, but I couldn't make it out. Any idea what it is? For $4.99, this was a pretty good buy. Very light weight and versatile. The body is aluminum and the blades store in the handle; you flip them out like a pocket knife.

i keep a saw like this in the car, along with a small set of bolt cutters and a little hatchet. if a tree is in my way, i can at least cut it down to the point that i can either make something out of it or get it out of my way.

This would fit nicely in the shotgun scabbard that I keep my machete in.

Looks like an upgraded version of the Sven saws we used to carry as Boy Scouts. Congrats on your new saw!

Once I figured out how to change blades, I really like the design. It's quite simple and effective. Thanks for the positive feed back everyone.
