Default Range Officer Compact for CCW?

So just sold my S&W 686 and I hope to sell my Glock 23 soon. Will need a good CCW piece. I was all set to get a SIG 938 but I thought before I settled on that, I'd see what else is out there.

Only requirements are: has to be 9mm and has to be single stack.

I owned a Springfield M1911 .45 and it was a good pistol, I think the Range Officer compact with the 4" barrel might be perfect. Anyone else have one and what do you think?

1 of my daily carries is the EMP 9mm especially summertime and the only downside imo was the price.

I have a few Kahr's they are well made. You might look at PM9 or the same size for less money a CM9. Never had a Kimber Solo but they look good. I have a KelTec PF9 terrible trigger but has always gone bang for four years and I don't mind if it gets dropped. If I was going with the size of a 3" or 4" 1911 I would be staying with 45ACP. I have a 3" Kimber and it is not as small as I thought it would be.

You know, I tried the Shield at Centennial last year and just didn't care for it. Didn't like the heavy trigger pull and I don't know, it just felt "cheap."

What other compact M1911-style guns are there in 9mm? I know the Commander and Combat Commander are out there and doesn't SIG make a compact 1911? I know they make a full size 1911.

Been drooling over it for long time. Unfortunately it is even more expensive than the EMP.

Waiting very impatiently for my POS Para(Carry 9, LDA) to come back from factory. Hopefully it won't be a POS any more.

I got this in 9mm. Smooth as butter and fairly lightweight compared to my full size single stack Springer.

What is that? Looks like a polymer frame M1911?
