Kind of like when you mistake your 1911 for your power drill and blast a few holes in the hallway hanging pictures. It happens.. sometimes.. yeah.

From what I saw of the video, he did mistake his pistol for the Taser. You can hear the panic in his voice and his hope the shots weren't fatal when they're rushing to get to the guy he shot. The "oh crap" reaction was instantaneous so I doubt it was faked.

I believe he could of done it by accident, I just don't think “this could happen to anyone.” I am on the fence it it was a “accident” I think the guy could of also been caught up in the moment shot the guy then thought -WTF- did I just do.. ?

Or he could of just had muscle memory from training with a tazer in the same spot ?
In the interview he said he wears the tazer on the other side of his body and in a entirely different spot so that really makes me question the muscle memory theory.

Also I saw a small frame revolver on the ground I am not sure if that was the volunteer cops gun but if it was it is much different then a tazer in size, shape and feel which would make me doubt muscle memory even more.

I am a skeptical person I usually judge a person more from their action then a few words they mumble. I would not surprise me at all if the guy just wanted to get a kill under his belt and jumped at the wrong opportunity.

There is something very wrong with someone who thinks another human, especially a man he's never met, wants to get a "kill under his belt."

Chuck Norris is 71... I can only assume at his age he is probably still pretty fit. R. Lee Ermy is in his late 60's and would appear to still be able to handle himself. I personally don't know anyone in their 70's that could work the streets, but I'm sure some exist. Who was that fitness celebrity who could kick the crap out of people and he was in his late 80's?

Naw, there's something really wrong when the first or main thing popping in someone's head is that someone else is trying to get a "kill under his belt", especially if you saw the video I saw. Maybe the video I saw was the wrong shooting but the shooter was panicked and went to deliver medical attention immediately. Very definitely (IMO) a mistake and not someone looking to put a notch on his gun.

Your psychic powers are a bit off. That wasn't the "first or main thing" that popped into my head it is just a factor that -could be-. Just becouse something apperars one way in the media doesn't always mean that's it- open and shut.
There is a few factors going on that are kind of questionable, like what the hell was he even doing there.. ? He claims he is saving 14yr olds from "Drugs" is the common lame "save the kids" ecuse that usally sends a red flag to those of us that have seen this lame excuse get play out like a broken record player.
