Default Mec Gar P14 mag issues

Purchased a RIA lately that uses P14 mags. The pistol comes with 1 mag so I ordered 4 more Mec Gar P14 mags. 2 fit perfect and drop free. 2 get tight with an inch left and real tight the last 3/8 of an inch. Rub marks on feed lips and a couple contact points by shoulder. Appears the mags are a little out of spec. I thought mec-gar was a decent mag company. Mags had a heavy greasy scum on them. After taking that off they were a little better but still tight.

All of the Mac Far mags I've used (Sig/Beretta) have functioned flawlessly.

Any way to ask for replacements? I've only ever had on mec-gar mag, and it was a turd.

The 8 that I have function without any problems in both a SA High Cap. 1911 & a RIA a2 1911.

I took the pistol and mags shooting today. Ran 150 rds thru it. Appears 2 mags are a little out of spec and the pistol had a ridge in the upper mag housing. Took the ridge out and did some sanding on the mags where they were rubbing making some difference. Mags insert and drop out great when loaded but still hangs up a little when empty. Pistol also activated the slide stop after the 2nd to the last shot several times so took a little metal off of the slide stop where you see contact with the bullets. Mag release spring was too strong. Replaced it with a lighter spring. Replaced sear spring for one of my liking.

Overall very happy with the pistol for what it is. Shot very well. Will have to take pics of targets next time. No play in slide, trigger crisp, decent sights. Other than the slide stop issue ran flawless.
