    Turkey Track Shooting Area
    https://maps.app.goo.gl/YPtww9enBzmFtTtX8
The Mrs and I came across this place a couple months back:
Located about two miles north of Rainbow Creek Riding Area on Hwy. 67 North of Woodland Park in the Hayden burn area. It's not great, but it's free, has about 12 shooting areas 300+ yards. separated from one another, a couple of them slow for 100-200 shots. BYO everything, no facilities, and most people leave their garbage behind, but it exists.

There's a pin on the map about 5 miles north of Lake George. It's labeled Co Rd 453, Lake George, CO 80827 / Mule Creek Outfitters / M Lazy C Ranch but not exactly at the ranch.

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/39...7426?entry=ttu

Does anyone know if it's ranch (lease) property or just Pike Natl forest land that's a shooting spot in that area?

On google maps, it almost looks like there's shooting berms at the north end of the (dude) ranch proper, but can't tell for sure if I need to call them to use the facility or it's elsewhere in the area.

ETA: Just read through the thread again and see it is M Lazy C ranch that has the berms. I'll reach out to them and ask a few questions if they would allow walk in. I have a bunch of family (like 18 cousins/spouses total) coming in for a campout in lake George and they might want to do a little shooting if we can find a place. Last time I was back home in WI we hung out and did some plinking. One of my cousins inherited one of her father's and one of her brother's guns and we gave her a little instruction and guidance.

I was the last guy running the 3-gun there a while back. It ended a few years ago when the owner retired and ownership changed hands. On my way out I advocated for them to let the cowboy shooters keep going since their match was way lower maintenance. I'd be interested in hearing if the range is still going. It was a small but awesome range with a lot of unique features.

EDIT: Just checked the ranch's web site. No mention of the range at all and it looks like they're catering to a whole different crowd these days.

Just a guess, but I expect "liability" to be a barrier here.

South site isn't out of the question, but it's a 40 minute or so drive. Maybe Sunday if they get going early enough for the Pike's Peak or bust "challenge", we could divert on the trek back, but if it looks like this, not sure I want to take them there.

    Fkn sad.
