There are numerous firearms one is allowed to own, minus 11+ round magazines. Turner Outdoors has a bigger selection of semis / AR style rifles than the top 3 in NoCO and probably your area combined.
Regarding gun friendly people call the number i gave you, you'll be dialed in within the week. AND make a few new drinking friends. Most who share some if not all the philosophy you do.
