I've been working some loads with 100gr bullets, and have been very impressed so far.
I guess this is one caliber that hasn't caught on with you guys yet.![]()

Huh, learn something new every day. That's an interesting cartridge.

I know there's some big fans of the quarter bore out there, but this one is about the only one that makes sense to me. I'd love to shoot one.
I am curious...what velocities are you getting with what loads? How does it compare with the 6x45?
I get about 2930 with the 85gr Nosler Ballistic Tips in the center photo, and about 2855 with the 100gr Speer HotCor in the lower photo. I can only compare to 223/5.56 and 300 BLK, I've never shot a 6x45.
What's the accuracy like with the heavier pills? I saw BHW was offering this chamber on their barrels a was considering giving it a try. I love my 6 x45 but admit it starts to open up its groups with the 87 grains

My best groups have been less than 3/4 MOA at 100y, with either load. I've hit steel out to 800y with it, too. I'm quite pleased with it. And with 1800+ ft/lbs energy and low recoil, I expect it will be a nice hunting rifle.
My only problem has been pressure issues caused by carbon build up in a dirty chamber from shooting suppressed too much. Otherwise, the SRC barrel has been fantastic.
Anybody seen any barrels for this caliber locally?
