I picked up the Ameriglo Hackathorn sights from Bowers for $88 before tax. These have the tritium front with bright orange ring, and all black (no tritium) bladed rear sight. I like this set up quite a bit for a smaller pistol that has potential to go in and out of my pocket from time to time, as they are very low profile, especially the rear sight.

I just put the Trijicon HD's on my G19, and they are awesome (likely my favorite sight to date), but size wise, they stand a bit to tall for the smaller pistol IMO. Plus I think simpler is better on the small 43.

If you get bored, could you post a picture of that front sight on the 43?

I have borderline ADD and really need a front sight that draws my attention.

Thanks. That front is pretty big and bright. Similar to the HD. I do kind of like the the "U" shaped notch on the rear sight on the Trijicon though. I'll probably just spend the coin on the Trijicons.

Yeah its the same in size and brightness as the HD's, but I agree on the U notch. The Ameriglo's on my Shield are also the U notch and make it much easier to pick up the front sight.

What to replace them with. I've recently started shooting with blacked out rears and my eyes focus way faster on the front sight. So I'm thinking about switching all my sights

I won't run anything but blacked out rears, they can have tritium, but no white outline.

Very similar to the Trijicon HD's. From what I can tell, the big differences are no tritium dots in the rear, and the front ring appears to be more red vs. the orange of the HD's. I've been going with the HD's on all of my carry pistols, and they really don't seem to be an issue height wise on the 43.

Yeah definitely very similar. Truth be told I haven't seen the orange trijicon HD sights in person, only the yellow. I believe you can get the Ameriglo sights with either a single centered tritium insert (I dot), or one on each side. Going with rear tritium puts the Ameriglo sights closer in price to the Trijicons tho.
