Can someone help me (red rocks)

Where can I go close to red rocks. I dont understand the shooting rules on forest land. I have always gone to ranges, and am sick of expensive fees

Unfortunately, the best places are about an hour away in the woods. There are a few places south of Pine and Buffalo Creek toward Woodland Park that have been discussed, but that's the closest place I know of without a hoard of idiots around.

+1 on the hoard of idiots. Even 5 years ago you could go to the national forest and not see a soul all day. Now there are hippies camped out everywhere and unsafe shooters blowing up computers in the hippie free areas. Your best bet is to go up on a weekday.

Set up some targets at red rocks. I bet the acoustics are excellent.

Buffalo Creek is the best idiot free place and you might enjoy the ride out there.
