Default Car Audio guys. I need advice.

I just bought a 67 camaro. I have great speakers I planned on putting in my other car, but I want them in my camaro. They are high end Focal's. I need a reccomendation for a head unit. I AM NOT putting it in the dash. I am after a great modern day system, but hidden away somewhere with remote control of one sort or another. Don't care if it's Ipod, droid, remote....whatever. I just want it to sound great.

If you're after phone integration, Alpine is your best bet for sound quality and ease of use. Pick a budget and features you want. I've done stereo installs for years, and alpine has been my go to for the past 5+ years. And Focal's are great speakers, but really need to be driven by an amp for best performance.

I see 67 Camero, talk about audio equipment. BUT..............................NO PICTURE OF THE 67. That belongs in EVERY thread you start or reply to today.

    ^^ THIS ^^
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

I've mounted them in the glove box, leaving the OE in the original spot. Are you just trying to maintain the original condition, or keep the thieves away...or both? With the quality of factory equipment these days, head units aren't as much of a comodity for thieves as they were just 5 years ago. Aaaand for that particular vehicle, it'd be almost easier to take the whole car than tearing the radio out of the dash.

This, except I fricken hate alpine's ui/menu structure, although I haven't played with the newer models. I've been a fan of eclipse as well just for the fact that they tend to have a higher preamp voltage even on the lower end models.

And 100% on the driving those speakers with an amp, they are great speakers but almost all of their stuff is designed for more power than a head unit can produce.
