Shot mine for the first range trip yesterday. I was very happy with the performance. Stock is okay, bolt shroud is junk, trigger pretty good. Function from all of the magazine types was perfect.

I will likely get the LRI bolt shroud and change the grip after a few matches in Production where I can not change anything.

The Sportsmans Warehouse in Thornton had one in 308 as of about 7:30 p.m. last night. Price was $1000.

Price of match ammo for 6.5 is same (or less sometimes) to comparable match ammo for 308

Hornady 6.5 140gr A-Max at Mile High is $26.99 per box or $260 per case vs. $29.99 per box of FGMM 175gr match. Or $32 for 178gr Hornady A-Max match. So the Creedmoor is cheaper. Mile High is in Erie, not a very far drive.

Barrels are a consumable item, and several companies have prefit barrels now.

I'm patiently waiting for Ruger to release a left hand version.

All the more reason to reload. For now 5.56 is available and cheap, so it negates reloading, for now. One want's to step up their game. You need to give serious consideration to buying a press.

My RPR is in at Ark. If anyone wants to go handle it before I pick it up friday night you're welcome to.

@ Tor, earlier in this thread or I think a whole separate one covers the debate. Depends on your particulars. FWIW I think if you want to actually do 6,8,1000 yard stuff and only precision shooting do the 6.5. Match ammo similiar price and reload from there.

.308 I opted for due to the lighter size etc and I'm getting a .308 semi soon too. I doubt I'll do much beyond 3-400 yards either. Some of my shooting will be blasting cans at 50-100 yards too. I'd almost try to take it hunting some day but it's still a hair large for that.

Here is another supplier of bling for the RPR. Bolt shrouds, knobs, etc. Have a look around, lots of interesting stuff.

Thanks for the heads up. $75 or whatever for an aluminum shroud from LRI is a bit steep to me. I haven't had any issue with my polymer shroud as of yet, but I might not ever have the chance at that price.
