6mm Creedmoor too

I picked up a 6.5cm gen 2 the other day. Threw in a Timney trigger, bipod and pulled the brake off. Still deciding on glass.
I love my rpr. For the price you can't beat the accuracy. Wife bought me a 308 on sale for under 1200 and I just swapped a proof research 6.5 into it. 3/8 moa on first round of load workup. You can swap a barrel in 30 min. The other manufacturer's production offerings shoot just as good and I'm happy to not spend $2000+ on a solid shooter like I did with my rem700

I think that is one of the selling features of the RPR. I have 4 factory .243 barrels and I swapped them around and got less than a 1/2" change in POI at 100 yards between all of them. Going to rebarrel one of the .243s to one of the MGTS integrally suppressed .308 barrels.
Do you know if a RPR in 6mm creedmoor can have a barrel swap to 6.5 creedmoor or are there different bolts out there? I won a 6mm RPR a few weeks ago and have been trying to figure out wtf to do with it. I hadnt planned on it and have no optics for it so it's just collecting dust right now. and 6mm is way outside my wheelhouse so I've been thinking about converting it to 6.5 or 308 if possible. I emailed Ruger customer service but couldnt get a clear answer. it SEEMS like i can do just a barrel swap, but it's not something i want to learn the hard way.
Why not just sell it and buy what you want? Even if you lose a little on the 6mm (demand on them is super low...), you're still ahead if you've got to add cash to buy a 6.5 or 308 since you won the 6mm...
You'll spend more on the barrel swap than just buying what you really want...
Replacement bbl runs approximately $5-600ish not counting tools (which you can rent on line) or smith charges to do the work. If you're in to it for little or no $$ why not replace it with a better barrel. If you go to some RPR forums, there's a good chance you'll be able to sell or swap the 6mm barrel

With this many owners in here, I imagine someone’s mounted up a Burris XTR and can recommend some good “tried” rings and bases?
