I do not yet have a precision rifle in the stable yet and am worried that if someone finds out, my man-card could be revoked. A precision rifle is next on the list (followed by an AR-10) and this could be a strong contender for me. I'm hoping that by the time I can scrape together the cash, enough people will have put it through its paces to highlight any deficiency.
As I would probably take it out to a PR match a few times a year, I think I would just go with a .308 version just due to availability/cost of the ammo. (Actually, truth be told, my wife wants a nice precision rifle as much, if not more, than me. I think she would probably do a few matches a year too.)
Question for the knowledgeable crowd-
Why the different barrel lengths for the different calibers? Can anybody throw me a quick lesson on that out of curiosity.
