IF your tank is filled by the propane company, they have to install the wet leg. If you do it yourself, when they see it, they can red tag you and or remove it at best. If you have a less then good relationship, they could just report you to CODiv of Oil and Public Safety and then you would get a ticket and a red tag.

I am NPGA certified and I know the parts you need, but no-one who is above board will sell them to a homeowner without a certificate.

It might cost a tad more to do it right, but it is better to do it right than loose a hand because you froze it with liquid propane, or worse yet blow something up. Not trying to make you mad, but I work accidents frequently that start off just like this.

Well, with that, they just bought the liability which rests with the supplier if they know. I have not only seen the guys who work for the propane companies, I have seen the consequences of their handiwork.

I have not ever seen anyone seriously injured by a HAM radio, propane yes. I am sure you know what you are doing, but it still would not be right for me to not say anything based on my experience and licensure.

I would suggest that once you have a properly installed set-up, you only do fills downhill from your residence and not uphill from a leech field or depression.
