    2-36" depends on many factors. Up to 6' in some areas in bad winters in the san Louis valley. I had -20 for a week a few years ago in greeley

    The door and stairs being uninsulated is the major cause for concern

    I was thinking of ways to help increase the insulation, like if you built it so that the door opens up into a shed or house or something.

    Interesting.. almost the same as our concrete pond and storage underneath it. It stays very cool all year long.
