I run a CVA.

Get lots of range time in. Some powder will work better for your rifle than others. I discovered blackhorn 209 powder absolutely wouldn't run in my CVA without buying an aftermarket modified breech plug.

Also, after installing open sights on my rifle, I discovered I couldn't get a low enough cheek weld to use them because of the raised comb which was designed for using a scope. Had to get a new stock to use the open sights.

Get out early so you have time to make modifications you may need.

I was planing to use blackhorn 209 in my cva apex, would you suggest any Colorado legal alternatives. thanks for the advice on the need of the high sights.
I will be scouting GMU 38 this weekend, any suggestions where to start.
