A little late to the game but I agree with encore, don't rule out the traditional. Much better reliability and more lethal than what some might have you believe, even with patch and roundball. Getting closer is half the fun IMHO. Not all that hard to maintain either. There is a primitive club in the Springs with some really nice people willing to teach.
