IDPA invite

So, just thought I'd toss this out there.

If any of you have been thinking about trying your hand at IDPA but lack the necessary equipment to do so, I'd be happy to help you out.

I can loan you a suitable firearm, magazines, holster, etc.

All you need to do is show up at Colorado Rifle Club next Saturday for the match, bring your $20 match fee, and 100 rounds of 9mm.

You will need to have about a 32" to36" waist if you want to use one of my belts.

Anyhow, it's always a good time and the match is really friendly towards new shooters.

So, if lack of equipment has been holding you back, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to hook you up for the match next weekend.

I will make the same offer to any first time IDPA participant. Show up early for setup and match is only $15.

A Glock of some sort. I'd probably let the shooter pick between a 19, 34, or a 26 depending on what they felt most comfortable with.

I think that's the kind of gun I'd want to start with. Good choice.

Too bad they run the match on a Saturday. I'd be down to try something new. How much different from USPSA is it?

I've only ever shot a single USPSA match. Major difference is that there are rules and procedures to follow in IDPA for each stage. For the most part, people end up shooting each stage the same way. I personally don't really find air gunning to be necessary in IDPA, and it's not really allowed anyway. IDPA stages often dictate when, where, and how to reload, but not always. Bringing the speed of USPSA shooting into IDPA is definitely an advantage.
