Grand Master Know It All
Last fall I had two new septic systems installed to replace old ones at our mountain homes in NW Boulder County. They cost $20K each plus about $7K for survey and engineering work. The septics included permits, new tanks and fields. About $47K, not including my own 2+ years of tree cutting and slash hauling to make room for the new fields, and restoration/re seeding. Of course, this is in the very Rocky Mountains which required removal and hauling of pickup truck sized boulders and the increased gravel & soil hauling costs in the mountains. Large excavators were required. Glad that's done! Next, it's two new roof jobs....
Twenty years ago, the septic system on the home we built in Palisade ran $3400.
