    I have an XLR Element & at one point (various optic/ring configurations) my cheek rest height interfered with basic maintenance. I would just remove the four hex & reinstall after each cleaning. Took only a minute but yes, a bit annoying. With my newest config & it's corresponding height adjustment, this is no longer necessary as I just pass under it for access.

    Next XLR chassis I own will have a hinged stock, for several reasons including this one.
