    Default Home security ideas

I wasn't sure where else to post this. I was thinking of using a game game camera for home surveillance. I've done a little research but don't really know a ton about them. I want something that doesn't have any type of noise or visible light. I also need it to take photos in infrared, which it seems most will do that. 5 or 6 megapixel is fine for my purposes but I'm not opposed to something different. What I'm curious about is if anyone here has done something like this. Still photos are just fine and I don't necessarily need video. I also don't really need live feed, however I was wondering if there is a product that allows you to look at the photos remotely? Also how long would a 32gb sd card last before it is full, say I had a photo taken every two seconds, hypothetically?

Has as anyone done this? Should I look at a different type of product?

I have a couple if 8mp Bushnell trophy cams. Youll kill a set of batteries before filling up a 8 gig card with photos. No remote viewing. Ir leds ear visable

I leave them at vacant houses.

I'd suggest a real security camera if power is available.

Going with what you're asking about, maybe something like this to interface with remote viewing? http://www.eyefi.com/products

Honestly, an IP camera setup will probably best suit your needs. Something like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-...&skuId=1668003 This one sends notifications and a live stream when there is motion

Not much help on game cams, never used one.

I am upping my security with some home automation (locks, lights, motion, etc.) This lets me make sure the wife and kid have sealed the house when I am gone, cause they suck at it. I am adding Nest Cameras as well. They will not work with the automation system I am using and I am good with that, it adds a small layer of redundancy to the system. Because it is all WiFi based I am trying to beef up my WiFi system to handle it and increase reliability as well.

I've not seen Nest Cameras before. They definitely look interesting! Good clear pictures.
