Default LDS Church members preparing for upheaval this month

I just read a report that a large group of LDS members have connected the dots and are preparing for the next great global upheaval to occur in the next couple of weeks. I like to prepared as much as the next guy and I look at things like this with "interest", without being compelled to action more so than usual. If you look, you'll find any number of prophets claiming TEOTWAWKI pretty much daily and for any number of reasons. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight as to what has the LDS members putting the stake in the ground. Is this just run of the mill , or is there some basis in fact (beyond the everyday understanding that the world is a mess and getting messier).

I don't know what dots they've connected so I have no idea if what they have to say is valid, but prepping has long been a big part of the LDS lifestyle.

There's a lot of people running around with "The End Is Nye" signs lately. Eventually one of them will be right

    ^^^^ Truth.

If they know something the rest of the world doesn't, it seems it would greatly benefit them to get the word out so more people are prepared, and not try to hide anything.

Time to go to Barnes and Noble and get a new Mayan calendar I guess.

But if everybody knows. Then there's runs on water, fuel, banks etc, traffic's bad enough. Who the hell want's to deal with the same crowd that when a "stormageddon" is forecast and wipes every store shelf out.

I've been seeing scuttlebutt on various sites saying every seven years, there is an economic event that causes massive problems. The month of September tends to be when these upheavals occur.

    Or, it could be this:
    http://www.mediaite.com/online/glenn...gees-into-u-s/
In an interview with The Daily Caller’s Ginni Thomas, radio talk show host and TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck urged his listeners to raise $10 million in order to help relocate Syrian refugees to the United States, and vowed to do so even if it landed him in jail.
    Done lost his fool mind.

Yeah, I've seen that too. I'm not pulling my money off the market just yet. About 3 months ago, I moved all my investments to less risky stuff, and I'm kind of waiting for a big crash, so I can jump back into the big money-makers and ride it back up. Am I giving investing advice? Absolutely not.
