    I wouldn't bet on it... those are gear driven with steel gears. I had the KDP come out and it was just spit back out by one of the gears. Drove for around 100 miles with a small oil leak before I noticed.

    Not all cast iron is the same. And even if you took a chunk out of the outside of the block, you'd likely create a coolant leak. Won't stop it "dead right there"
