Need help with older Remmy 700 BDL

I know enough to ask for help so hopefully you guys will come through. In 2012 I was tasked with holding on to a 1976 700 BDL, 7mm, left hand that belonged to one of my best friends. His widow moved to California and didn't want to take it with her. She has asked me to sell it for her which I'm happy to do. I know very little about these rifles, have tried using some of the auction sites to see what they sell for but there haven't been any offered in quite awhile.

Does anyone here know these guns or can you direct me to someone local to Denver to gain an idea of it's value? I'm not looking for a "fire sale" price but rather an honest idea of what to ask. Thanks very much in advance.

Depends a lot on condition (overall) and grade of the wood, there's not much of a collector market (outside of specific models/grades) as its the most prevalent bolt action Rifle made in the US. As info new 700's range from $389-1500+ depending on configuration.

If you can, post some pics of it and I and many others here can give you a pretty solid idea.

If its in good condition, standard run of the mill wood, I'd say around the $400-600 range, that's obviously a fairly wide band and is completely dependent on condition and configuration, could be higher, could be lower.

Not to mention it being a LH action. I know there's a few shooters here who are. Yet that number overall makes it worth what a LH shooter is willing to pay.

Thanks guys, I'm waiting for some sunshine so I can take some pics under natural light. My buddy got it as a gift in 1976 from his wife (now widow). I know it being a lefty limits the appeal. I'd be surprised if it's had more than 20 rounds through it-he was an "accumulator" of guns haha, never hunted with it. It does have a couple of small dings from other guns hitting the wood in his safe but that's about it. I hope to be able to post some pics Saturday, Sunday at the latest.

I also have his beautiful S&W 2nd Model Hand Ejector .44spl from 1925 that a friend in Texas is interested in, if he doesn't take it I'll post it up in our classifieds though not something typically offered here.

What trigger is in it? Depending on the trigger it could be worth a considerable amount due to the collector market.

I have no idea if there's anything special about the trigger, this is a platform I'm woefully ignorant about.

Besides the old Smith nothing else left.
