I was doing some load dev with the Amax and used a lighter to put soot on the bullet to see when the lands were touching. In an instant when the flame got close, the poly tip melted. I assume it has an effect on velocity especially at distance but the Amax has been probably the most consistent performer for me with various calibers and is my go to in my Creed, so I don't think accuracy is affected. I'm pretty excited to try these new bullets out.
