Under armor ridge reaper camo

Any one have any experience with this camo I got a magazine at work with a guy wearing it seems like it is over priced and wouldn't work well in the mountains the YouTube video shows a guy in more of a desert/brush area it's cool though

Guys did pretty well in the past wearing jeans and flannel. I'm sure it would do just fine. And just like everything else made by UA, sitka etc it's way overpriced

Also, it's really easy to make any camo look good in the right lighting conditions and environment or even in post-processing (photoshop)

Yea when I saw the prices I though no thanks I'll stick to mossy oak and real tree it just doesn't seem like it would work well in the mountains here

Like Gunner said, I don't know how we ever killed anything wearing carhart and jeans. But I can also say that I was always one to bash Sitka and other brands for their high prices but after 14 days in Alaska hunting for Dall sheep I can say that the Sitka gear that I bought was worth every penny. UA is starting to make some pretty good gear, and as far as the camo pattern goes, all your trying to do is break up your solid silhouette into a more obscured pattern, that's why mossy oak works just as well as prairie ghost and Sitka Optifade.

I'll second the Sitka gear. I don't think the camo pattern does anything for me at all, but the 90% top and bottom had me comfortable in temps ranging from 25-68 degrees. Never chilly and only a little sweaty. That and the stuff is incredibly durable. Pokes and jabs from pine and a couple of small slides didn't leave a mark on the clothing.

I probably could have gotten 12x the articles of clothing for what I spent, but I wanted to buy the last thing I'll ever fall hunt in (assuming my addiction to craft beers doesn't cause my waistline to expand TOO much over the coming years). It is good stuff. I believe it is over-priced by about 30%, but it really is good stuff.

I would encourage others to snatch some up if it drops in pricing in the next couple of years.

I've only done deer and elk hunting when I was younger I just recently started hunting again the past 2 seasons I went out didn't see any thing got a few pictures on my trail cameras so I started with that if I get the time off work I'm going hog hunting in Texas

I'll buy some of the sitka stuff or UA when it's on sale I like it its warm etc. I'm just cheap and Cabela's and redhead stuff has done me well

I bought the ridge reaper 13 late season jacket a year ago on better than pro deal. Besides getting it for less than half retail, what I like in the product is that it is a wool blend. Plenty warm but not overly so. Not water proof but sheds rain ok. I like the pattern too. Haven't killed anything this season yet but it ain't because the camo sucks. That would be my overall hunting ability.....

I was in Kansas sitting against a tree during spring turkey and had a large buck almost step on me, the deer only noticed me because I turned my head when he was about two feet away to let him know I was there with that camo on. I got mine from the cave at Cabelas.
