Looks like one of my pullets turned out to be a brain surgeon in disguise. The others were crowding around to tell her how smart they think she is.
ETA: Concerning introducing new chickens to an existing flock, the common advice is to introduce the new birds by placing them in some enclosure (their own pen, or a crate or something) where all the chickens can see each other, but not kill each other. I'm already too well established on the chicken website to use this picture as the perfect troll post. Something along the lines of "How many days should I separate my new hen before I let her mingle with the flock?!?"
