Less a statement on construction practices and more a statement on obsessive compulsive types that would want to "fix" it.

For me it would be my failure to plan that far ahead to know where a cabinet was going to go. So it would have been painted in my house as well.

The floor was some used stuff I picked up from a friend. He has 6,000 sqft. and is selling for $0.75/sqft. I can hook you up if interested.

I mounted the island cabs today and then sanded and varnished the tops. I'll post a pic later.
