    Default Orthopedic doctor?

    My MRI shows a nice re-tear of my medial meniscus. The doc I have seems ok and recomends a shave of the loose part. I think I would like a second oppinion if only because this puts me on a path to a partial knee in a couple of decades.
    Looking for some doc recomendations and stay aways if you have them.

    Thanks.

    I think highly of Panaroma Orthopedic and their staff. Though my experience with them was issues with upper extremity nerves, (I have full use of my arm because of them) I would check them out at least. They have Doctors on staff that specialize in most orthopedic areas.

    An ortho surgeon for the upper area will be different from one who handles hips & knees. My experience with panorama was less than stellar. The 2nd trip was as much a waste of my time as the first. EVEN after being reassured the visit would be with a specialist, i had one with the same hack as the fist time.

    Find a knee specialist who works with Olympians or pro athletes. Lindsay Vonn is doing quite well; find out who cut her.

    I had this procedure done 7 years ago with a Dr. Located in the offices besides North Suburban in Thornton. I think it was orthopedic and sports medicine center.
    Surgery was fine no issues and did the job. The Dr was very thorough ! It was an oji case so the physical therapy after helped a lot.
    Good luck

    Dr. Vidal at cu sports is awesome. I had 4 acl surgeries in 2 1/2 years. He was able to fix the mess the other one left me with.

    How does this equal a partial knee replacement in a few years? More damage than that I'd hope. I had mine removed when it tore going on 20+ years now with no issue.

    Dr. James Muffly worked on both my knees. No complaints.

    @monky
    Per the doc and some studies he read, removing that much usually means replacement in 25yrs.
