Default Getting ready for turkey season need help find a turkey choke

I am all ready to get after some gobblers this year. problem is that my kid has expressed interest in going this year. This is a problem because her shotgun is a Weatherby SA-08 20 gauge. it does come with a full choke tube, but I cannot seem to find a turkey choke for it. Also as much as I want her to shoot just using the bead she would like to have some type or red dot or other sight on it, which again I cannot find a mount for this gun. any advise on where I can find a choke or mount would be helpful.

It may be cheaper to look into the federal premium loads with the flight control wads: https://www.federalpremium.com/produ...ll.aspx?id=835. Same wad used in the blackcloud waterfowl loads. With how few will be shot, it may be a lot cheaper than getting a turkey choke. There's a mail in rebate on them now.

If you are set on getting a choke, Carlson's sells a flush mount turkey constriction.

Not too familiar with that shotgun but I'm guessing you will have to go get it drilled/tapped. I'm sure BP could do it. Then get a rail to screw in there so you can attach a small Red dot.
If it is a full choke I would try a few different loads and see what works for that gun. Different brands will shoot a lot different patterns even with the same choke. I have some rounds that shoot a good size group at 30 yards, then my last shell is like a slug at that range (literally about a 5" kill area) but opens up to about 18" at 50 yards.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Just use the full choke it has. No reason to get fancy with a Turkey choke. As sniper said go out and get a few good boxes of turkey loads and pattern them to see which you like better. I personally prefer Federal and Kent, sometimes Hevi Shot if I want to spend the extra cash. I also do not recommend buying actual factory labeled Turkey Loads, waste of money when you can get nearly the same round labeled for pheasant at a fraction of the price. Get some fast lead rounds with a decent amount of shot in it and it will do the trick. You can use the rest of the box for pheasant or something later in the season.

Yep, steel or lead, #2 shot or smaller. No slugs. Max 10 gauge. 3 shells total in chamber/mag.

We get "invaded" by turkeys on a daily basis. They're everywhere. These guys wandered through a few days ago (crappy cell phone pic):

Brobo, EGW or IIRC of all places CTD was showing mounts for weatherby's. Not sure if it's the rifles or shot gun
