GMU 5 for Elkses

Has anyone hunted Unit 5 for elk? My partner and I are looking at other options than the past couple years.

I hunt GMU 5, it is terrible, avoid it at all costs

Seems to be quite a few out of state hunters there, especially from Tennessee. I'm not sure why. Most of the area is closed to OHV during hunting season, so hiking/horses is a must. I have had reasonable success there and enjoy the area. Cow tags usually require a point (not absolute).

The previous link seems to have old information. I like to review the regional hunt guides (northwest for GMU5).
