    Default Costco Prepper Deals

Thought it would be nice to have a running thread with good deals and stuff people find at Costco.

Current deals and finds, reviews and/or explanations on why some stuff isn't a good deal... yeah?

I just ordered some of this. The price isn't great, but a buddy turned me on to it, and the reviews are stellar. Currently $5/can or $5.55/lb, packs of 24x 12oz cans. 3-ish years published shelf life, cheaper in-store I believe, but I don't have any details in front of me.

They had a 4-pack of 60 watt equivalent LED light bulbs for $9.99 the other day. In fact, they now have a half an aisle of great deals on different LED bulbs. I like the 25lb bags of rice and 25lb bags of flour ($6.99ish) for rice and bread respectively. We go every two weeks, and buy the Kirkland brand of toilet paper (5 weeks worth for us) each time, so that keeps us well stocked on toilet paper. I like to buy bulk deodorant and razors there just once a year. This last shopping trip their produce has been garbage though. I also get a rack of bottled water there for something like $4.99ish. It'd be easy to build up a water supply in one's basement that was easily distributed with the Kirkland water. I use it in my car where water is scare since I'm driving around the state all day long.

Don't forget about the dried potato/hash brown things. Those are wonderful for the price.

Safeway & Kings carry another brand, Betty Crocker or Duncan Hinez hashers.

I'd like to get someone with a costco card for the LEDs's. Ours expired monday, the spouse isn't renewing. For some reason Costco pissed her off with a return item, went downhill from there.

The mountain house doesn't work for us. 1/2 of the items neither one of us like.

$190 Mountain House - 1x breakfast and 1x essential bucket, with 6 cans of cinnamon apples.
People are selling the case of Cinnamon apples on ebay for $100, so that ends up being less than $3.50/bag if you hate apples.
Goes back to $220 on 3/13.
