Probably have to drive more than an hour to get in a safe area. Feet on the ground and talk to land owners.
Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

Thats what I figured. I know theres a place out past Ft Lupton that will rent you a trailer with a bench on it and you can shoot all day, no limit on dogs for 100$. Might go do that once this year.

Also most people don't want to give up the spots that they have worked to find.

Or earn Smoozing the land owner in some way. Friend of a Friend etc.

"Don't shoot the cows!" was a favorite scolding from land I once shot on. (duh) But it must have happened before.

Yep I got the "dont shoot the cows" from the guy who rents to my moms house. She has about 450 yards in her backyard with a solid backstop and no neighbors. I proceeded to show the guy a drop chart and show him how Vmax rounds work when they hit steel. Hes cool now. Also got permission from the sheriff.
This is the place I was talking about. Does look like a hell of a lot of fun. I anyone wants to go in on a trip with me its 195$ (per person, half day) and minimum of 3 people. Definitely kinda pricey.

Good on explaining to the land owner. No reason to say or ASK anything from the LE. In the county and safe back stop, you're GTG.

Why deal with idiots and their inferior M&P rifles in the forrest, if you have access to 450 yards and a good back stop?

Longmeadow is a couple miles from our place. Very nice venue and nice folks run it. Everything is pricey but always well reviewed.

My buddy just bought a place right next to long meadows, looks like a pretty nice place.
