Default Petition to expand hunting on public lands

Someone sent me this petition about expanding access on public lands. I don't really know much about the issue so I thought I'd pay the petition link here and see where the discussion goes? How do those of you who are knowledge feel about this issue?

I signed. We already pay for the land through taxes. Quality hunting locations are few and far between.

Interesting. I wonder if I start a petition about doing away with the NFA rules and regs they'd censor or delete it? I read their Terms and agreement page and it said they're open to anything that isn't illegal, so....The word "Change" as its used in current times, I associate it with Liberal mentality.

this state has really been making it harder and harder for the average Joe to find a good spot to hunt. Recently making the decision to make more tags more accessible to non-residents, which I believe is to appease the outfitters by bringing in more customers. The fact that such a low amount of state trust land is available to the average Joe hunter goes right along with the tags issue, catered toward outfitters.
I'll cast my vote on this poll, but I'll be really REALLY surprised if a darn thing comes of it. After all, just a few short years ago, our wildlife division got combined with parks and we all no one was in the red and one was in the black with money, so now more money will have to come from hunting/hunters to make it all balance out and one way to do that, is bring in more non-resident money. Sad reality.

What's sad is seeing the cattle grazing at higher and higher elevations, driving the game away.

As I understand the issue from locals in the know where we hunt (GMU 6/16/161/171), that's a direct result of combining parks/rec and DOW and the need to raise more money.

Gonna be pretty hard to get this done, a lot of those state trust lands are leased out, for multiple years.

They need to bring the big game access program back too, but not enough money to do it. That's another thing that helped open up areas to the average Joe, but it went by the way side too.

I signed. All we do is hunt public land. Worth a shot. They at least need to go back through and reconsider a lot of properties out there that are available and get some new ones going. I have been to some spots where you can't even find a rabbit, squirrel, or dove around. Walk out wondering why that even counts as available land to hunt.

COLORADO HAS THE WORST HUNTING/FISHING AND LAND MANAGEMENT. This has been signed. Colorado needs to look at a few of its northern and eastern states and learn. I hate the draw system and are availability to public land SUCKS. Please sign this even if you hate as I do Change.org.
