Default Car seats for newborns boys times 2

    Hello brothers and sisters,
I have great news and a million questions. After 37 years of no kids I have great news I'm having twin boys. Now I need some things advice on carseats right now. Do I get 2 seperate ones or do they make one that holds twins? I'm going to need them for 2 cars. And maybe an rv? Plus everything else.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Babies are coming in Aug or Sept.

    Congratulations!

I would suggest two seperate seats with the quick detach bases. Then buy two extra bases for the other vehicle. It is so nice to be able to pull a handle and have the seat come out and not have to deal with a seatbelt all the time.

Congratulations. This is pretty good advice. It's been a while since I've had to deal with car seats.

oh man you have your hands full. When my wife and i found out we were pregnant with out first one, we wished we had twins to get both kids out of the way. I don't know how parents can handle more than one. We took turns on duties, and its still tough.

But to answer your question, search slickdeals. Like encorehunter stated, but 2 of the same seats (maybe different colors) and if you have more than one vehicle at least look at getting one additional base (if not two).

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. I am going to need so much more stuff then the car seats. However, I figure that should be first just to get it out of the way.

One of the biggest lies of parenthood is that kids are expensive. Your costs will go up initially, but they go back down as they move from not needing diapers and not needing to eat special foods. Your biggest expenses will be car seats, diapers, and clothes that they grow out of quickly. Beyond that, don't stress too much about buying them a ton of stuff. The most important thing they need is you and mom.

    Please tell my wife this...

We have a 2 year old and 7 month old boy. My advice is go to the gym now and work on the treadmill for endurance and tie rope to two 45 lb weights to pick up and carry around. It takes endurance to keep up, even with both parents helping.

I agree with Irving. Except for us they are even cheaper. Our kids wear hand me downs (from the older kids), so no need to buy each kid new clothes. Unless something truly wears out.

Diapers are expensive. We did cloth diapers with the first couple. They are so nice now adays. And better for the kids. BUT, if you are on a well and have a septic system, or if you value your time, then they can be an added pain.

car seats are easy. As far as I know you can only get the detachable base ones for the baby sized seats. That works great so you can carry them around without getting them out. As they progress to the next size they wont be detachable. And once you strap them in, you wont EVER want to do it again and will gladly buy another set for the other vehicle.

Other than Formula when we dont have a goat in milk, we never spent extra money for kids specific food. We never ever bought baby food, not even once. We ground up our own food in the little baby mill.

I have 8 and one on the way. When this one comes we will have 8 kids that are 11 and under.
Wow. I don't know how you keep it all together with 8. We just gave our little one his first goats milk last night. He loved it, but he likes anything food wise. I have to build a milking stand this week to make her easier to milk.

    Sorry about the hi jack

That's so cool and outside of the baby money machine that's set up to take money from new parents.
