I got my tag the other day. Elk, Bull, 2nd Rifle. If I can go this will be my first hunt. An 8 day season, Oct 22 - 30.

Got my Ranching for Wildlife tag last week. Yesterday, I got a voucher in the mail for another cow tag... F-ing SWEET! I gotta buy a bigger freezer now.

Looks like I was able to get a leftover rifle doe tag and a muzzleloader cow elk tag. I hope I will be able to get a little meat in the freezer.

REMINDER! Left-Over licenses on sale online today. Started over the counter yesterday but didn't get time to post it up here.

Wife was able to get the same tag I grabbed in left over draw. Hoping for some success for her this year!

9 f-ing days til muzzle-loader. I already got my gear all ready to go. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Can't wait!

I guess its about time to find my rifle and see if it still works. Hunting season sure crept up fast this year. I spoke with a few guides down here, and they said the elk are starting to rut.

Been planning on using my new .45 Rossi levergun for deer hunting, but took the ol' 700 .30-06 out shooting the other day just 'cause I hadn't shot it in awhile. 8 shots at 100 yards, now I'm not so sure about using the Rossi.....maybe I need a leftover elk tag too.
