    It's technically against code to use the floor drain like that but it'll probably work just fine as long as you flush with plenty of water.

    Yes the sump would be a bad idea

    We ran a lot of the sinks in the King soopers delis and such to floor sinks (deeper than floor drains) but it's considered an indirect waste. The idea that if it ever backed up, there was a gap to the drain and it couldn't back up into the prep sinks.

    For your needs right now, the floor drain is the best option. A garden hose might be too small to deal with the drainage but 1 1/2" abs is easy to run and cheap. You don't need a trap on the sink as the floor drain has one.
