Got an email today from CDNN, .22lr HK MP5SD style (fake suppressor) for $380, new in the box. Oh I want one so bad just for giggles, but since I just dropped a little more than that on the shocks for the m/c I'm not going to do it, waahhh!!!![]()

I had one and traded it. Not the same as an actual MP5 obviously. The receiver is not folded from one piece but two halves bolted together. None of that roller bolt goodness of the actual HK.
Once you've shot an actual MP5, the shine will quickly fade from the 22lr version and a 10/22 or Marlin 60 will function better in my experience.
Sorry to be a killjoy.
I have an actual MP5 and am trying to get one of the .22s just for fun. I had one of the .22s a while back and shot it so much that it stopped working. Guess this warrants another thread but when do you know when you should change the barrel in an MP5? I think mine might be just about worn out.
Oh I "had" a MP5 years ago and enjoyed the hell out of it. Those days are gone, when I actually get a chance to hit the range or a class I'm using either my 1911 or my M&P-that's about it. One of these .22s just looks like a fun diversion. I think as the weather gets nicer I'll be spending even less time on the range and more on the road.
For the price, they are fun. I turned mine into an SBR as it was not the SD version. No it is not anywhere near the fun as my real MP5 but it is a fun toy that always brings a smile to anybodies face that shoots it!

When 22lr was more available and cheaper, these were funner.
I have one of the GSGs, how are these different?

I have the a5 version and love it , even with the fake can on it. Great toy to bring to the range for new shooters too. Got mine for $299 from CDNN
