Need an Experienced Backhoe Operator w/ or w/o the backhoe
Got a serious problem with Lakewood Code Enforcement and need help. Have to move my 20' steel storage container (Connex, SeaCan, etc, see pic below of similar) in the next couple of weeks. Need someone that has recent and considerable experience with a backhoe/front end loader.
Basic need is to pull out a 6x6 post, push the container back about 6 ft (stuck under the eve of the garage), and pull it out at an angle about 20 feet so it can be loaded onto a flatbed with a winch. Only the front edge of the container needs to be just slightly lifted to pull it out. Container weighs approx 5500lbs. Need someone that has recent and considerable experience with a backhoe/front end loader. I have experience with them but not recent enough and don't want to mess up the eve of my garage or damage the brick pulling it out. If you have a backhoe, I'll pay for your time. If not, I can rent one and pay you for your time. I estimate it would take about an hour, not including travel time.
Code enforcement is not very understanding and I am on my FINAL extension. I can be pretty flexible for date and time to get this done, but will be out of town from June 4th-9th.
PM me if you can help! Just got an estimate from the one place who would call me back and he wanted $600. Pretty ridiculous considering it cost me less than 1/4 of this to get it put in. Thanks everyone!
