    Default Pinned Chinese sks value?

Plain Jane, looks like every other I've seen. I'll be the potential buyer. Stripper clip type sks that runs fine, what's it worth?

Whats it worth to you? That is the question........

Honestly after owning nearly every type of sks I can think of, I'd go for one of the milled screw in barrel mil-surp types before I'd ever purchase another pinned chicom commercial variant. And you can get the chinese type for around 350 after shipping/transfers if you don't mind cleaning off all the cosmoline and don't mind the war-worn been around the block a few times look.

So, 200$ and I'm good? I won't actually shoot it much, but I'd like to have a 7.62x39 just for shtf.

I paid $59 for my first Chinese SKS. It showed a little honest wear. My second Chinese one was brand new in the cosmoline and I paid $79 for it.

For me, the allure of the SKS was the price point. And the fact that ammo was around ten cents a round.

With current SKS prices I'd rather opt for an AK.

I'd probably buy it for 200-250 and feel like I got a decent deal. 300-350 still probably not horrible today if you want it but personally I would pass. The 400 plus range I'd definitely pass, I've picked up a few of the Chinese milsurps through copes and j&g and the worst of the three shot better then any commercial sks I've owned........just my 2 cents.

freekin old people.......i kid i kid.

but I'll argue that while they shoot the same round, ak and sks are not in the same category outside the media. Simonov designed a good weapon, but the simplicity and shit drudging abuseable firepower of Kalishnakov's design won out the communist party before the SKS got a real chance. Too many moving parts and limited interchangeability in the sks with it's fitted bolts and transfer piston lol. Again my opinion, but the accuracy of the SKS over the AK isn't widely disputed.

$250 TOPS. Unless you HAVE TO HAVE IT NOW! Anything over $300 for a pinned bbl & stamped trigger group is ehh. The other question is... Is the stock 10 rd "mag" there? if not GFL trying to locate one for under $30-50. If it's not in the factory wood stock, drop the price down to @200 not a centavo more. Is the bayo there? probably not being a pinned unit. Also is it the 16 or 20" bbl. The 16" would be a few $$ more that i'd pay .

The biggest "debate" with the SKS is pinned vs screwed in bbl. I prefer a threaded in to pinned. If the price is right grab it anyway. Or call me. I may have an interest.

I traded for this one, it is complete and numbers match, late '60s manufacture from what I could find, no import marks. It is accurate enough to be entirely useful beyond 200 yards (I hit a black bear silhouette 6 out of 10 shots at 600 meters. I have had a few SKS's and this is the best shooter of them all. I will hang on to this one.
