Plumbing - do I need a power rooter job?

Washing machine draining causes toilet to overflow. Bathroom sink draining causes toilet to overflow. Kitchen sink draining causes toilet to overflow. I tried to auger the toilet & I was unsuccessful. So I removed the toilet! Tried running water in kitchen & it still causes the line to fill up. A regular (maybe 25 ft) snake went all the way in & came out clean.

I'm thinking I need to get the line roto-rooted....? Does anyone on the board do this? I tried a search, found a link for a member owned business, and got a response that the listing has been deleted.

Any other insight / suggestions?

Similar problem going on right now in the same hood. I've talked to 2 neighbors that have had the same symptoms within the last 6 years. All came down to blockages between the house and street. A scope and a 'pro-snake job' (Davesl don't drool) were required to fix it.

I'm looking into plumbers. I'll pass the info along if I find a good one.

Definitely a main line issue, or at least down from the toilet. I assume this must be a ground level or basement toilet right? I think the next step is a longer snake. I've seen someone on here suggest a guy that will snake any drain for $100, but couldn't tell you who. Might do a quick search of other plumbing related threads. You may see if you can find a clean out further down the line and try from there before you call in anyone else.

Got any trees in your yard? Roots can play hell with sewer pipes. Definitely sounds like time for a pro.

Get your drain scoped. If you have clay between your house and the sewer main root intrusion could be the culprit. Watch out for sketchy plumbers. Had our drain scoped by pulling the toilet. They reseated the toilet and it leaked. Wouldn't back up their work and wanted another $90 to reseat the toilet. Told the plumber he could leave and then did it myself. Snaked the toilet, the washer drain and then ran a garden hose through all the drains and the problem is now gone. The only good thing they did was let me know I had abs between the house and the main. So - get a REPUTABLE plumber.

Make sure you get a video copy of the inspection if you get it scoped. You can show it to any other bidding plumbers if you have a problem that will need major work. They should give you a disk or something of everything they saw.

Ok. Father in law has a roto rooter, so I just saved a shit load of money. Good news: the toilet drain isn't the problem. Bad news: it's in the drain from the washing machine. And its looking like I'm going to have to cut apart the wall, cut the pipe, & replace a 3 - 4 ft section. We can't even get the snake past the floor to the clean out, or even to the 90° bend. The toilet main drain clean out looks great.

Found the other clean-out & sure enough it was clogged. Power snaked that bad mamma jamma from underneath the house & it cleared right up. Also fixed the cheap floor tile job I did & upgraded the toilet to a more effecient, select fire assault toilet.

It was roots that were blocking the pipe. Some came out with the snake head when we backed it out.
