Sparc II on the open range
Just got home from a fun morning on a buddy's property. Got to really run the Vortex Sparc II on some "run and gun" drills (for an almost 60 yr old with bad knees I don't run that much lol). We were able to shoot out to 100 yards as well as run some close in stuff, all on steel plates so there were no questions of hits and misses. I was able to keep all my hits on the torso sized plate at 100 pretty easily. Didn't notice any kind of pulsing of the dot or other issues. Even in the strong morning sun the dot is plenty bright enough to see.
Ran 300 rounds, it was just as tight on the gun at the beginning at the end. Obviously this is not a "bulls eye" type optic but for it's intended purpose I'm quite happy with it. Even if I didn't get the "birthday gift price" I'd still pay the going rate of $180-$200 I've seen them go for. Not sure how it'd hold up in a true rough life existence but for a hd gun I'm quite comfortable using it.
