Default Interested in getting into 3-gun

As the title says... I want to try 3-gun, and was hoping a few members could help with advice on events/ locations, preferably near Fort Collins to start with. I also want to get a membership at a local range, not sure which one yet. Hopefully some of you more experienced guys can chime in. Thanks!

3-gun out at Pawnee Sportsmens Center every 3rd Sunday of the month. About 50min east of Ft Collins.

Sweet! I saw a Facebook group listed on the website. Is there anyone I should talk to specifically, or just show up, pay, and hope I don't look as clueless as I'll feel?

If you are on facebook join the 3 gun talk group. Mod is Kevin Travis, runs a match in the springs. Lots of local folks. I suggest you ask if someone could be your match buddy. I would but can't make that match.

This is the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/554578294747740/

You don't need to talk to anyone prior to a match, just show up with ~150rds pistol, ~150rds rifle, 25-50 birdshot and a few slugs. No M855 or other steel core ammo, it's a DQ. We were gonna try incorporating slugs into the match for the first time this month. I'm missing it cause it falls on Thanksgiving break and I have plans, but otherwise I show up regularly.

But yeah show up, listen to the safety brief, talk to the regulars and have a safe, fun time!

    wcfw.org

front range indoor gun range in loveland does 2 gun. You can become a member, but it goes to 25yds

Liberty range in Johnstown goes out to 100 (with video feed @ 100) BUT they're proud of their membership fees. NOW... you could shoot for $25 pe rhr which gives you (IIRC) 32 hours of range time equaling the first year membership, including "fees"

As for an outdoor range membership in NoCo GFL. FWIW: you don't need to be a member to participate in any competition .

If you're off during the week pm me. I belong to wcfw & pawnee shooting sports. PSS has steel out to 1K

Thanks, everyone! I will try to make the match this weekend. @ great-kazoo: I occasionally have a weekday off, usually a Friday. I will definitely take you up on shooting some steel! Probably after the holidays. I appreciate everyone's input, and I will follow up as I have time!

1st Saturday, Colorado Rifle Club is Carbine (USPSA)
1st Sunday, Colorado Springs (local rules 3Gun)
2nd Saturday, Ben Lomond (USPSA 3Gun)
3rd Saturday, Colorado Rifle Club (USPSA 3Gun)
4th Saturday, Weld County (USPSA 3Gun)

In November, the 3rd Sat CRC is cancelled.

There will be a few changes for 2017. For all of the ones with USPSA rules, you do need to show up a tad early and go through the new shooter safety brief. All of them will be helpful to newer shooters. If you don't have gear, check ahead and the MDs will make sure there is loaner gear for you to use/shoot.

I have heard that the Pawnee match is under new management and that the safety issues have been cleaned up, but I have not been since that supposedly occurred.
