    Default Powers been out.

It figures, everyone got electronic devices for Christmas, power goes out about an hour after that.

Wind took down a lot of stuff on the west side it appears. It was out for 6-7 hours.

Gave me a chance to fire up the generator, test the transfer switch, furnace, pellet stove. I'll be making some circuit changes one of these days so the generator powers the pellet stove too.

Just when you think, "I don't need the gas right now, I'll get some more emergency gasoline one of these days and fill up the empty cans" - the power goes out. Sh*t.

When it became dark, I brought the portable battery box into the house, ran some LED lights for a while and charged the cell phones.

Went to see a movie and get out of the dark. Power was back on when we got home.

My co-worker's parents live a block or two from me. They lost a HUGE tree and it smashed their house. Incredible. I'll visit with them tomorrow and see what help they might need. Everyone is safe, but man it smashed the house. Very sad.

Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

Nice to know what works, if it doesn't, why not. Plus th eability to adjust beofe a serious demand happens

Outside of a moderate supply of petrol, i converted the generators to propane. So we now have dual fuel power supplies. I'd like to do some solar, just not in the budget at this time.

Truly is sad about your co-worker's parents. Sure they'll appreciate you dropping by.
