Its been a month since I cancelled Directv. I had everything too, all premiums, all sports packages, et. al & I don't miss it, not even a little.

    Altered Carbon was the best.

Wife gets discounted Dish since that's where she works. I find that I'm using my Fire TV 4K sticks more often than I expected. A chunk of that though is that some of the content is made available through the Dish subscription. If you're leasing equipment for some of your TV locations, buying a Fire TV stick to get the content may be a better option.

I have basic internet (no phone, box etc) using the fire stick and download free apps to watch shows. My Roku was the same deal with apps, but it stopped working.

Most of the free apps for standard tv are garbage, unless you upgrade to their "Silver or Gold" premium packages.
I could care less for a single sports channel, let alone OVER A DOZEN To CHOOSE FROM!

This I can relate to. I used to enjoy sports when it was just 2 teams doing their best to outperform the other. When they went activist, they lost me.

That tends to ruin a lot of stuff.

We cancelled Netflix and enrolled in Sling. Traded passwords with a friend (our sling for his netflix). Have hulu with our cell plan, and prime video with our prime subscription. I have a login for HBO, STARZ, Cinemax, etc, but really dont use them often. Of everything, we watch Live PD or Live rescue most consistently.

What does sling have over hulu or other Pay per month app?

Access to cable networks. AMC, Paramount, Discovery, History, BBCAm, USA etc. Hulu only has a few shows from selected cable or broadcast networks, and often not the current season's episodes as they air. You can pay to add those to Hulu via Hulu + Live-TV, but they don't come in the base Hulu package.

I have Prime, Netflix and Hulu, but still watch current episodes of most cable series on Sling.

Sling is primary here, but Netflix is a close second. I'm a live pd whore, love it.
