Our household DVRs and watches Live PD consistently. One of the few shows we watch regularly. We do like to watch it from the DVR as those 4 minute commercial breaks are a drag.

What does sling have over hulu or other Pay per month app?

Access to cable networks. AMC, Paramount, Discovery, History, BBCAm, USA etc. Hulu only has a few shows from selected cable or broadcast networks, and often not the current season's episodes as they air. You can pay to add those to Hulu via Hulu + Live-TV, but they don't come in the base Hulu package.

I have Prime, Netflix and Hulu, but still watch current episodes of most cable series on Sling.

Wifey & I started watching The Boys. It's a really interesting take on the superhero genre. We see it as 'what if those with superpowers gave in to human nature'. It's dark, but interesting.

If Amazon keeps it up, they may overtake Netflix in original content.

Been watching The Expanse after seeing it being continuously recommended everywhere.

The world building is top rate.

I don't like a single character on the show except for Prax. Every other main character is either a psychopath, narcissist, or boring.

I'm into season 3, and at this point I'm just hate watching it until the end.

Also been watching the HD re-release of the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon. This is my second time through it, and the HD remaster makes the show much more watchable; watching it on DVD on an HDTV gave it that weird, glossy soap opera vibe. In HD, it's much more like watching a real movie. Also, some of the effects shots have been updated as well.

If you're the least bit curious about the Apollo program, its a definite watch.

I loved From the Earth to the Moon. I'll have to re-watch it. Is the re-mastered version being streamed by HBO?

"Hate watching" was a new one for me. They'll just chalk that up to someone liking that type of content in their statistics. Maybe you'll have many more options for "hate watching"?

Yes, the remastered version is on HBO.

If all I did was hate watch movies and TV, it would a full time job three times over owing to the fact that movies and tv seem to all be written by and for mouth-breathing dimwits these days.

For the most part, I'm finding that when I do get to actually watch a movie of my own choosing, I'm gravitating more and more to stuff that was made in the 1970s.

Don't you love how they just beat you over the head with the plot, like it's sooo difficult to follow? Society must be incredibly dumbed-down if this is now a requirement.

    Thanks for the info.

Shows beating me over the head with the plot would be far preferrable to them beating me over the head with politics.
