I watched both After Life (3 season series/Ricky Gervais), & Nobody this last week. They were fine, better than most everything else.

Im not finding much that really holds my interest nowadays.

Watched Battleship Island about a month ago on netflix. Based on a true story of a Japanese Island off the coast of Nagasaki where coal was mined by Korean prisoners during WW2.
The story is about how several hundred prisoners escaped, lots of wild action.
South Korean with English subtitles, pretty well made with an unusual 'dark' atmosphere like the "300".

Amen. Started watching last night and I think we're on episode 4. We're loving Reacher.

I've never read the books, but my dad has. He couldn't believe how far off the Tom Cruise movies were. Based on what I've seen so far, and his description of the character from the books, I think he'll be happy with this series. I'll have to chat with him today about it.

ETA: Finished the series last night. Was worth the time spent. Wife and sister were disappointed that they'll have to wait for season 2 for more beefcake.

I binged the first 4 episodes yesterday LOL. I guess that means I like it haha. Truly enjoyable especially with an actor that ?measured up? to the literary character and not the diminutive Tom Cruise.

Reacher was very faithful to the first book, Killing Floor. I was impressed.

Binge watched in in a 2 evening sitting. The guy who plays Reacher, also was in Titans (a dc) series on hbo? or other pay channel. He (Alan) said he bulked up for the reacher character. Which is impressive as he was a pretty healthy looking guy in titans.

A coworker clued me in that anyone with Comcast/xfinity internet only, can get a free flex box and access to the peacock network. It has some limited commercials unfortunately, but I'd been wanting to check out Yellowstone. It turns out you don't even need the box if you can DL the peacock app on you TV or phone, etc.

Amazon Fire TV devices have Peacock Network available. They also have the Xfinity Stream app, which is how I get Xfinity programming to my TVs (including DVR recordings) without paying for more than a single cable box.

Reacher gets renewed for Season 2 by Amazon Prime Video

Just three days after debuting on Amazon Prime Video, the new series Reacher has already secured a second season, the show revealed on Twitter and a press release.

Amazon issued a Season 2 renewal for Reacher on Monday, with the streaming service revealing it is already among its top 5 TV shows in the U.S. and globally.

Many fans have already watched all eight episodes in just the past three days, with the show averaging a viewer rating of 4.7 stars out of 5, making it one of the highest-rating Amazon Original Series' ever, as star Alan Ritchson chimes in on Instagram.

Finished Reacher-really enjoyed it. Also finished The Book of Boba Fett, thankfully Resident Alien still has the rest of the season to go otherwise I don't know how I'd waste my time in front of the tv lol.

I thought Reacher was terrible. "NCIS Amazon Prime". The only worse than the shooting scenes was the fight choreography. Acting, directing and dialog went down the toilet as the series went on. First 1-2 episodes seemed promising then it got really bad.
