    Default Gordon Technologies SLR-100

Anybody know much about Gordon Technologies AK? Recently picked one up off of here and as far as I could tell, they're rare with a good reputation. Receivers were made by Arsenal in Bulgaria for a project that never took place in the early 90's under Clinton and got blocked. Any info would be great and appreciated to anybody that owns or has owned one.

This one has minimal wear. It's been shot but no exterior wear other than some marks from the safety; nothing else. Bore looks clean. It has the "G" proof code on the barrel along with the serial number on the bottom that matches the bolt and piston. From what I've read, the muzzle was tac welded on and bayonet lug ground off. The tac weld has been removed and the threads are clean to add some type of break onto that I chose.

From what I've read online, Gordon Technologies was allowed first pic of the receivers when Arsenal was not able to produce them for the US. Gordon picked the best and used Hungarian parts kits inside. The barrels are not chrome lined to my knowledge which could be the biggest of any downfalls of this particular design. Fit and finish looks superb to me compared to other milled receivers and well above many stamped receivers I've used and owned.

I've handled them, but nothing i couldn't live without. I've owned higher end arsenal's, they are comparable quality and parts wise.
Outside of shooting corrosive ammo (old chi-com and egyptian stuff) a chrome lined barrel is (IMO) a moot point when it comes to rifles. Chrome lined are also less accurate than chromoly or nitride barrels.

Looks like a nice addition to your collection. If you actually had a collection, that is

I've got an older Arsenal, SGL-21 as my main AK rifle that I shoot and use. While I like it a lot and find it a lot higher quality than some other cheaper modes, it doesn't have the fit that the Gordon does by far. In regard to chrome lining, it's just nice to have as most military AK ammo is corrosive and doesn't have the best accuracy standards. Although with the SGL-21 and Yugo surplus I have, it is usually around 1.5 MOA at 100yds which I'm more than impressed with. Have not shot the Gordon yet but we shall see what she produces.
