    Default Moving to Pueblo soon

I'll be moving to Pueblo soon and had hoped to get back into PWSA. Since that ain't gonna happen, I need to know about other places to shoot. Anyone belong to the Municipal indoors club (the one at the Zoo)? If so, how is it- pros and cons? What about the Avondale club? Thanks for any input based on experience. Bill

I used to belong to range by the zoo. I forgot what membership fees were but I liked it because it was 24/7 and hardly anyone ever there. Other than that everything else sucked

I moved to Pueblo about eight years ago. The thing I love about this town, your cost on everything can be 20-50% less than Denver if you know who/where to go.
The range by the zoo is Pueblo Municipal Shooters: http://www.puebloshooters.org/ They have new member nights the first Thursday of every month. There is $60 admin fee, and then it's only $80 per year. Like Gunner said, it's 24/7 access after you become a member, which is convenient.

There is a range out east off 50. It's 15-20 minute drive outside town and used to be called Rivers Edge. I can't find the contact info for the guy who just bought it, but he's the brother in law of Ben who owns city pawn on the east side. Which brings up another thing. Don't go to the east side. Unless you are going to city pawn. They have given me some good deals, but it's an experience going there.

Watch the PWSA website. Since you were a member there before, you already know about the public hunter sight in weekends, weekday steel, and weekend matches.

here is the chieftain article about the range out east of town. Looks like a veteran bought it and is making some big improvements.

Sign up for PWSA, while your waiting to join you can still shoot USPSA, several rifle matches, mid week steel matches starting in April, all as a guest. If your a helpful type, someone might invite you to shoot as a guest.
