    Default Geissele Super 42

I hate that spring noise from the buffer tube. To make things worse, I run some lightweight Cav Arms lowers which amplify that noise significantly. My life is hard and this world's problems are too much to bear by themselves, and my noisy buffer spring was leaving me even more depressed- I felt detached from the sport that I love.

Then a buddy came along and gave me some hope.

He was using one of the JP captured silent buffer springs in his rifle and I was impressed with how little vibration came through the stock into my cheek. No more AR 'boing boing' with every shot. For the first time in months, I felt relief from the emptiness and hurt that my rifles buffer spring noise left me with. It's all about the small things in life.

Then I saw him remove the spring and noticed how complex the design was. At the end of the day, my ARs are still beater guns- they get banged around and mistreated. Left in the rain, never cleaned. The parts complexity made me say no- I would break the damn thing, or rust it to pieces.

Recently I stumbled across an offering from geissele while preparing to make poor life decisions and buy another $250 trigger... I bought the spring instead. I will be back for another trigger.

It looks like geissele went the other way with their design (going with simpler tech and fewer parts) to get to the same goal, but with the added bonus of advertised spring life increase.

The thing is truly drop-in with their proprietary buffer (included) and gives the rifle a very different feel- smoother. Also, no more 'boing boing' when shooting.

    Now life is worth living.

    Thanks Geissele.
